Welcome to St Mary's

On behalf of the Directors and staff, I would like to offer a warm welcome to The St Mary's Church of England Primary School.

Our Christian Vision

The scriptures of Isaiah provide the basis for our Christian vision and why we believe our children can flourish under God.

But those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.  (Isaiah 40 v 31)

Through our core values of love, friendship and respect, coupled with an environment where each child is cherished and valued as an individual, we enable our children to flourish, to fly like eagles and Believe and Achieve.

Our Core Christian Values

Our Motto

Our school motto here at St Mary’s is ‘Believe and Achieve’, this encourages the children to not only believe in themselves but also to believe in God, the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Through this faith in themselves and God we believe all children can fulfil their potential. The scriptures of Isaiah provide the basis for our motto and why we think our children can flourish under God.

But those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40 v 31)

Our school aims to foster a Christian, caring ethos in which children thrive by celebrating achievement and making sure they feel valued and secure. We treat our children as individuals and our curriculum aims to enrich the whole child.

All our children are taught to respect others and are provided with exciting learning opportunities and consistently high standards.

We operate an 'open door' policy and you should always feel welcome. If you would like to come and see us, we would be delighted to show you around the school and answer your questions. We look forward to meeting you in the near future.
