Today we read the traditional tale of The Three Little Pigs. We retold the story through small world play and role play. We also drew pigs, build houses sign large and small construction toys, sequenced the story, heard a musical version of the story and then read another version of the story…
Creation!
We retold the creation story through role play, movement and rhyme. We went in the dark tent and into the light, we felt water, became birds, explored the natural environment, drew the moon, stars and sun, moved like an animals and rested. We lit a candle and said a prayer outside. What a lovely…
Our reflection garden!
We have worked alongside the whole school to create crosses and school value stones for our forest school reflection and prayer garden. We can be calm here, be with nature and be spiritual in nature.
Hieroglyphics detectives
Class 3 went on a scavenger hunt to decode words written in hieroglyphics.
RE- Why is God Holy and Loving?
We have been learning about God’s qualities in our Religious Education lessons. Using the bible to help us we found out that God is: loving, holy, omniscient, omnipotent and eternal. The children enjoyed showing what they had learnt in creative and exciting ways.
RE key vocabulary
In morning work we have been learning the key vocabulary for our RE unit. The children enjoyed doing this in fun and practical ways.
Caring for ourselves!
Today we have been learning about germs and how they can make us poorly. We used an experiment to show how soap fights germs! We learned how to wash our hands well using soap. We counted up to 20. We lathered the soap and it was frothy and bubbly!
Learning about size and sorting by size!
Reception have been learning about size and sorting and matching by size in maths! We used a variety of vocabulary e.g massive, large, huge, gigantic, mini, tiny, small and miniature. Well done Reception!
RE - Forgiveness
In RE today we talked about forgiveness. We explored how we felt before and after we had been forgiven.
Teen Numbers
We have been using our outdoor area today to practice recognising and writing our teen numbers.
Class 3 Egyptian Art
In Class 3 we focused on small details and patterns found in Egyptian art to create a double page spread in their sketch books. We used coffee to stain our backgrounds to represent papyrus paper.
