Today we went outside for a split digraph treasure hunt. Split digraphs are words that make a sound with two letters apart. For example:

time - the I-e are making the sound together.

Any practise you can do at home to work on split digraphs will greatly benefit your child’s progress in phonics. Split digraphs are particularly difficult to learn and the more practise they get, the better!
