French fun!
In French class two have had fun practising colour adjectives and parts of their face and describing what they look like. They made pillar people and used a writing frame to describe themselves in French.
Exploring our senses
In Science we've been learning about our bodies. Today we explored our senses by tasting foods and identify the type of taste, rating smells, sorting materials depending on how they feel, guessing the sounds and drawing our favourite places.
Exciting new English topic
For the next 2 weeks, Class 2's English work will surround The Bear and the Piano by David Litchfield. Class 2 are looking forward to finding out what happens next and writing some lovely descriptions about this book.
Practical maths
Today we made groups practically using counters, cubes, teddy bears and shells. This is the beginning of our multiplication unit. Next we will add groups and then year 2 will look at the multiplication symbol.
An Exciting Animal Man Visit
We had an exciting visit from the animal man today. We played games, learned about bats and painting bat boxes.
Leafy art
In outdoor learning we made animal pictures using leaves, sticks and stones that we collected.
Pizza tasting!
In the afternoon we tasted our yummy pizzas and evaluated them.
Instruction writing
We've also been writing instructions to make pizza.
Pizza making!
Yesterday we designed pizzas and today we had lots of fun making them.
