Please make sure outdoor clothing is in school every week. Children in Class 2 will have Forest School every Monday in small groups with Miss Wood. 

Children will need:

Wellies/outdoor shoes

Waterproof suit or a waterproof coat/jacket and old trousers

Hat and gloves

We have been learning about the body and our senses! Today we tasted different foods and described how they tasted using a variety of vocabulary such as; cheesy, sweet, sour, minty, menthol, flavoursome and moreish. We talked about the tastes that we really liked and did not like. We learnt more…

Today we met with Rev. Anne to discuss our ideas for Harvest festival. 

This week, Class 3 have been hard at work creating an Ancient Egyptian version of Jack and The Beanstalk. We've been very imaginative and have impressed Miss Milward with our range of fantastic ideas. 

Some of our ideas have included:

In Art, we have been looking at architects and their work. Today, we drew pictures of the famous Tower Bridge in London - there were some super pieces of work produced. We had a mini-competition and this was the winning entry by Mason - well done!

This week Year 2 have been learning about the different 'l' sounds at the ends of words. 

This sound can be made using 'l', 'll', 'le', 'el', 'il' or 'al'

Year 1 have been learning about ordinal numbers this week. We have been ordering shapes to solve riddles, organising cars into labelled parking spaces and competing to see who will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Great news. Reverend Anne will be starting up her regular Worship team meetings and we will soon be having an online Harvest festival. We may not be able to meet in person but God moves in mysterious ways!

As part of our charity work we have sponsored an animal in each class through the WWF website. We want to help our World and shape it to be as God intended.
