Please can all costumes for the nativity be in school by Monday 2nd December. The children will have bare feet for the play so they will not need shoes. Thank you for your support.

Hand Investigations
Class 2 organised their own hand sizeinvestigations in science this week. We talked about hand spans and came up with questions:

Class 2's advent calendar
Class 2 talked about the Christma story and how Christians get ready for Christmas. We identified 3 traditions that Christians do to get ready: advent calendars, advent wreaths and nativity scenes.
Thankfulness paper chains
In RE we talked about what Christians are thankful for at Christmas and what we're thankful for at Christmas. We then wrote thankfulness paper chains.

The rest of the half term we are learning all about Christmas!
We will be very busy the next couple of weeks learning about Christmas and taking part in lots of Christmas themed activities.
We will read The Christmas Show and prepare for our own Christmas show in school! We will be using our imagination, dancing skills and acting skills lots to practice…

We have made Christmas decorations for our Christmas tree that will be on show in the Cathedral soon. We have also made cards for the community.

Today we worked on ideas for our Christmas fair games. We have some great ideas for next Friday.
