Week 5
We’re entering our fifth week of home schooling. I’m looking forward to writing our own alien stories and starting to look at some space poetry.
Topic:
This week’s topic will be Computing. The focus of Computing will be E-Safety. If you are able to evidence this topic, please send it in on Google Classroom.
- Creating a secure password – watch the video: https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/24837924 Can you create your own secure passwords? Remember not to share them with anyone.
- Read the story below about Smartie the Penguin. Talk about your answers to the stop and chat questions, then jot down answers.
- Watch the Hector’s World videos https://www.esafety.gov.au/educators/classroom-resources/hectors-world/your-personal-information-online First, can you create a like of things that is similar between you and others? Then, can you create a list of what information is personal?
- Make a poster to advertise E Safety – being safe on the internet. Make sure you include the rules you’ve learnt about being safe on the internet.
