Class 2

This morning we designed seed packets ready to display at the Horst I hub opening on Friday. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

Today we had our first football lesson in PE. We had a lot of fun practising dribbling and stopping the ball, and we stopped for lots of breaks in this hot sunshine!

We had lots of fun starting our Dear Zoo topic in English today. We talked about what animals you might find at a zoo, describe how they move, what they eat, what they sound like and what they look like. Then we made masks and pretended to be different animals outside.

We had a lovely last day of the year using our outdoor area.

We had lots of fun preparing picnics this morning. We made fruit skewers, cookies and sausage rolls.

Class 2 enjoyed eating their picnics in the park today. Luckily the sun came out while we were the.

Class 2 had lots of fun this afternoon. We listened to Queen - We Will Rock You. Then we talked about pulse and found the pulse of some songs. We clapped and used our bodies to show the pulse. After that we added xylophones and other instruments. 

We’ve had a lot of fun gardening today! We have finally harvested all of the onions. Some of them are huge. We look forward to eating them in our lunches. 

Today Year 2 were showing Year 1 how to measure in ml,l, g and kg. We weighed vehicles and measured how heavy they are by adding up the weights. We also measured out amounts of water accurately into containers. 

Today we read the owl and the pussycat in whole class reading. We worked in groups to perform the poem to the class and thought about how we could use instruments in our performances. Great creativity and teamwork!
