We managed to get some gardening done this afternoon in between the showers! Look out for the new plants in class 2’s outdoor area. 

Today we were learning to throw and sprint. We finished with a game of ‘hit the teacher’. Well done to Charlotte who managed it. 

This weeks Mental Health Awareness week has a focus of getting outdoors and appreciating nature so this afternoon we had forest school, gardening and even cooked outside for DT. We have been looking at the banana trade in Geography this week so we decided to cook delicious banana bread. 

This week it is Mental Health Awareness week! We have been taking part in some mindful moments and using calm strategies to help us feel happy, calm and relaxed. We have enjoyed the techniques rainbow breathing, clap focus and warm hug! 

Today we enjoyed making lemonade in the water tray today! We squeezed, squashed and poured! We loved the smell of the lemons and this was a great activity for our fine motor skills.

We have reminded ourselves of the wonders of Gods creation again this week through our planting of runner beans, marrows and squash. Our lettuce and spinach are also nearly ready to eat and our chickens are laying regularly. What a lovely place we have to go to school. 

Sorry, I have confused my dates, Forest school will go ahead this Monday.

We won't be having outdoor learning next Monday (17th May). The current group will rollover into next half term to make sure they have an equal amount of time in the outdoor area. 

The Year 4 National Multiplication Check has been confirmed as going ahead this year, and it will take place on the first week back after half term (week commencing 7th June).
