Autumn adventures at Colton Park!
We went on an autumn adventure to Colton Park this morning! We explored different leaves and trees, collected autumn treasure and we created leaf characters and leaf rubbings. We had a super time!

Remembrance Artwork in Class 4
In Class 4 we have been creating images of The Blitz to remind ourselves of the lives that were lost and are still being lost today to ensure that we live in a world with freedom. The children only used paper and chalk to create these! We think they are fantastic!
Part Part Whole!
In maths today Year 1 have been learning all about the part whole model as their first lesson in addition and subtraction.

Exploring mass!
We have been learning more about mass. We have used the vocabulary heavy, light, lighter, heavier, heaviest and lightest to compare. We used the balance scales to explore the mass of objects in our classroom!
We had an amazing visit from the firefighters!
This afternoon firefighter Gary and firefighter Sam visited us! We learnt about their uniform, equipment, explored in the fire engine and we got to try out the hose. We learnt that being a firefighter requires teamwork, courage and hard-work! We had a super time and learnt so much! Thank you to…
When I grow up I want to be...
We have been drawing and writing about what we want to be when we grow up. We have enjoyed lots of ‘people who help us’ themed role play. We have used our imagination to become postal workers, fire fighters, police officers, doctors, nurses, teachers and vets.
