In Class 4 we have been creating our own character for our War Diaries. We will be writing from the perspective of Simon Bauer a boy evacuated from Germany during WW2. These pages give you a little more information about him. Keeping looking out as some of his diary entries will follow…
Mastering Maths!!!!!
I am so pleased with the Year 6 children’s maths. They have shown the skills of perseverance, determination and resilience to master the skills of Long Multiplication and Division. Well done!
Phases of the moon
This afternoon Class 4 learnt about the 8 phases of the moon. We then recreated these using Oreos. It was delicious as well as informative!
Road safety week!
We have been learning all about road safety as part of Road Safety Awareness week this week! There has been lots of discussion about how to cross the road safely, how to travel in a car safely and how to be safe out and about at night. We have enjoyed lots of transport and road safety themed play…
Super team work
In phonics today Year 1 worked as a team to find the missing er words in Tricky Witch’s poem. We had a champion team that found all of the missing words.
Class 4- Science (Solar Systems)
In Class 4 we have been learning about the solar system. We have been learning about the order and size of the planets in relation to each other. We have made our own solar system- we think it is pretty good… what do you think?
Forces
In science, we are learning about forces. Today, we used force meters to measure how much force must be applied in order to move an object. We also tested on different surfaces to see which surface created the most friction. We made sure that we were carrying out fair tests and used our results to…

We have been learning about Diwali and creating Rangoli patterns!
We will remember them
In Forest school this week we have been talking about remembrance day and why we wear poppies.
We created our own poppies with autumnal leaves and made poppy seed balls.
Incarnation- The Messiah
In Class 4 today we created ‘Wanted’ posters to show the qualities and attributes that the Jewish people expected the Messiah to have. I think that the children have done this in a very creative way- well done!
