Today reception sounded and blended cc’d words and then found the matching picture. This was a great way to get some exercise and practice our blending skills!
Continuous Provision
Our Year 1 children are accessing our continuous provision and independently comparing numbers within 20.
Negative Numbers
We have been learning about negative numbers this week in class 4. We enjoyed using the outside space and ordering ourselves in a human number line.
Amazing Noun Phrase Sentences
In Class 4 we have been working hard to describe an elephant. The children created some fantastic noun phrase sentences. Please have a look at them we think they’re great.
Less Than Greater Than Equal To <>=
Today in maths the children were learning about the <>= symbols. They worked in pairs, using the base 10 to compare numbers.
Making Wedgwood Blue
In art today we were experimenting with tints and shades. We then added white to blue to see if we could make ‘Wedgwood Blue’.
Noticing and sorting!
Today in forest school we collected natural objects and talked about what we noticed. We noticed the size, shapes, colours and types of natural object. We sorted them into groups and sets. We solved problems when an object did not match and belong.
Dear Zoo
Today our Year 2 children are independently planning the story ‘Dear Zoo’. Tomorrow they will retell the story and add in their own animals.
Forming letters with paint!
We have been using paint to practice forming our letters in phonics!
