Art outdoors!
We enjoyed art outside this morning! We looked for things that were growing and we painted our own spring pictures.
World Book Day
On World Boo Day we read the story of Solomon Crocodile and we created some fabulous artwork based on it.
WORLD BOOK DAY!!!!!
This week in Class 3 it's been World Book Day we dressed up. The best costume was Charlotte's web the spider! It was home made.
We had a book quiz, the winning team got to choose a book of their choice.
Palm Sunday
John 12:13 - Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Learning about Palm Sunday!
Today we have learnt more about Palm Sunday! We listened to the events of Palm Sunday, made our own flags and palm leaves and then we retold the story through role play!
Our school Bible story small World Play
Class one have used small world play to retell our school Bible story of The Good Samaritan! We talked about how we can be good Samaritans too!
Painting flowers
We have used our creative painting skills to paint flowers. We have also been learning the names of the parts of flowers and plants.
Gardening!
Today we read Jasper’s Beanstalk! Then we followed instructions to plant our own seed. We talked about caring for our seed by giving it water, sun, warmth and nutrients from the compost. Class one have been super gardeners!
All God’s creatures
We believe that all God’s creatures should be cherished. As such we have recently re homed 2 wonderful rabbits in need of love and 5 battery hens. At St Mary’s we love our outdoor learning and the impact we can have on God’s world.
