Hi Class 4,
I hope that you are keeping well and managing to stay safe. I have been pleased with the amount of children who have been on Education City this week. I will award you dojos on Sunday. If you haven't yet managed to get onto your activities there is still time.
Here is today's work. Please try to have a relaxing weekend. Please remember to stay safe-listen to all of the advice and stay at home if possible. Please remember that as it is half term there will be no work set next week.
Miss Davis and Mr Wynn
Please remember that 2 hours of work a day is plenty.

Today I would like you to re-watch the following short film https://www.literacyshed.com/littleshoemaker.html.
Today we are going to be planning and writing the next part of the story the opening. Here I would like you to start your story with action to grab the attention of the reader. This can have some imagined elements that are not in the video clip. It might be useful if you are showing action to increase the pace of your writing, during the exciting parts of your story-this can be achieved by using short sentences. Remember we are only opening the story not writing the whole thing. We will be moving onto the problem in the next section so please don't go any further than where the ShoeMaker receives a contract to buy the shop.
Please try to use the following sentence level features:
-short sentences - powerful/interesting vocabulary -adverbials -relative clauses -prepositions
