Good morning Class 2

Welcome to our first day of remote learning. Every morning I will post your work for the day on our Class Blog page and Google Classroom. The Google Meet times will stay the same for each day and the work set will follow a pattern so children can access it as independently as possible. Please show your child how to unmute themselves on Google Meet so they are able to interact with the learning.

Lesson 3 1am via Google Meet	meet.google.com/zoy-cayh-xbx Phonics Today’s sounds is ‘ue’ making a u-hoo sound. We will work through the powerpoint together and then there is an activity and wordsearch in your pack	meet.google.com/mox-hmyr-nvs Phonics Today we’ll learn about contractions such as: I+will=I’ll It+is=it’s We will work through the powerpoint together and then you can independently go on to the phonics games on Education City.

 

At the beginning of each week, I will post a topic for the week linked to the topic that we would be doing in school. These activities are optional and if you would like to create your own activities for these themes, please feel free.

W/C 4.1.20 Topic:

History – Moon Landing Research Neil Armstrong and fill in the fact file sheet in your home learning pack. Watch a video of Neil Armstrong stepping on the moon and complete the speech bubble sheet in character. Research Laika and create a poster about it.

 

Marking and feedback:

English, Phonics and Guided Reading: Where possible, please support your child with marking at home. Please correct capital letters, full stops and spellings in English. This work can also be handed in for feedback via Google Classroom or Class Dojo.

Maths: We will quickly mark maths at the beginning of the next day’s Maths lesson. Please provide a colour pen or pencil for marking. There is no need to hand it in for feedback.
