Week 1
Welcome back to Spring 2. I hope you all had a lovely half term and managed to have a break away from the computer for a little while.
Topic:
This week’s topic will be Geography – Weather Patterns
- Seasons – Watch the video about the 4 seasons. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zkvv4wx/articles/zcx3gk7 Either in your book or using the template, draw pictures of the 4 seasons including: clothes, plants, animals, weather etc.
- Follow the instructions to create a table to monitor the weather at your house.
- Create your own weather forecast video or poster to present what you think the weather will be like after you have finished collecting data with your chart.
Guided Reading:
Year 1:
- Please read the Phonics play comic – The Haircut and look for the sounds in the comic.
Year 2:
- Read the 60 second read – A Helicopter Tour of London and answer the questions. Can you time yourself reading for 60 seconds? How many words did you manage to read? Send in your scores!
- Read Diamonds and answer the questions below the text.
