After half term our topic is ‘Let’s celebrate!’ In the first week back we will be learning about Bonfire Night and Diwali. We will also be learning lots about the celebration of Christmas next half term. We will talk about our own experiences of celebrations during the first week back. Please send us some photos of celebrations that you have been to on class dojo portfolio or bring some printed photos into school. We will share these during the first week back to school.
Next half term we will also continue to celebrate autumn, learn more about friendship (as part of Anti-Bullying week) and road safety.
On Friday 12th November we have a special visit from Hoglets! Class one won a competition and Hoglets are coming to visit us to teach us more about hedgehogs! We can’t wait!
If you have any interests, skills or talent that you would like to share with us in school to help our learning, or know someone else that could visit us in school and help us with our learning around celebrations please let a member of the Early Years team know. We would love to welcome you into class and learn more with you.
Reception will continue learning the alphabet sounds in monster phonics next half term. Please continue to practice saying the sounds using the flash cards and read as much as possible together at home. This will have an amazing impact on your child’s reading development.
Forest School will continue to happen weekly. Please ensure your child has a forest school suit and a pair of wellies to be left in school.
PE will continue to be on a Tuesday morning next half term. Please continue to wear your kit on a Tuesday.
Please remember to bring a bag with lots of spare clothing in and put a spare pair of pumps in there too please if possible.
Over the half term please check that everything that belongs to your child is labelled. Even shoes please! It make sit much easier to find what belongs to your child when everything is labelled.
Dance and drama will be on a Tuesday afternoon. Georgia will continue to help us develop our imagination, creativity and teamwork through stories and songs.
We are looking forward to another busy half term! We will share with you all of the details for our Christmas play very soon!
Thank you for your continued support.
