Super team work
In phonics today Year 1 worked as a team to find the missing er words in Tricky Witch’s poem. We had a champion team that found all of the missing words.

Year 1 have been working as a team today to find all the number bonds to ten.

In geography we have been learning about our local area and the location of our school. Today we had a look around the school grounds identifying physical and human features in our surroundings.

In maths today Year 1 have been learning all about the part whole model as their first lesson in addition and subtraction.
Autumn Poetry
In English this week we have been learning looking at a variety of poems about Autumn. We are going to write our own senses poem so today we went on a nature walk to find out what we could see, hear, smell, taste and touch.

In maths today Year 1 have been using the concrete resources to show greater than, less than and equal to.

In maths today Year 2 have been using the outdoor resources to estimate on the number line.
Wedgwood
In art this half term we have been learning all about the work of Josiah Wedgwood. We have designed and made pottery based on his work and today we painted our creations with the ‘Wedgwood Blue’.

In English we have been basing our writing on the story Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell. Today the children are using their story maps to write the story.
