We have had so much fun learning how to use Tinkercad to design. Check out our pencil pots!

We enjoyed being creative this week. We did some fantastic writing all about Stickman and had fun making our very own! We hope you like them.

In our PE session today with Stoke City FC Class 2 have been working as a team to complete circuits. We then explored how physical exercise effects our breathing. 
 

We have made our own instruments and this week investigates how we can vary the pitch of the sound from our instruments.

It was a noisy classroom for a while but we all were able to identify the part of our instrument that was vibrating to make the sound, as well as making different pitch…

Today in art Class 2 made space themed tiles out of clay using the slab method. 
 

In English today the children are planning a diary entry using time conjunctions. We are basing our writing on the book ‘Man on the Moon’ by Simon Bartram - A day in the life of Bob. Here our Year 1 children are doing some fantastic independent writing. 

In maths today our Year 2 children have been using manipulatives to make equal groups. They also had a go at writing the multiplication sentence to match. 

Today we listened to the story of the farmer and the baker. It taught us not to jump to conclusions and to trust our friends.

A big thank you to all the fantastic pupils at St Mary’s who helped us take part in the RSPB’s Big School Bird Watch today during their lunch hour. Their enthusiasm to take part was amazing and they used all our school values, a genuine Love for the outdoors! great Friendship by working together…

This week we experimented in science using skittles. 

This week, we have been reading one of our favourite stories, The Gruffalo.

This week in Science we made our own homemade instruments, we are going to use these next week to discuss the pitch of different sounds.
