Class 2

We spent some time outside in maths today. We identified equal and unequal groups, and tried to make equal groups using different amounts of counters. We showed respect for each other when we were using the resources.

We’e going to write an information text together about cheetahs. Today we used books and iPads to search for facts and sort them into headings around the classroom.

We’ve started learning about big cat information texts this week. We started the week by talking about big cats and what they look like. Then we read an information text about tigers and we used shapes to find the different features of the text. Great teamwork Class 2!

Thank you to everyone who attended our online service. The children showed amazing respect and listened to the others as they told their part of the God’s Rescue Mission. 

Today we showed amazing teamwork and took part in a big Easter egg hunt. 

Today we learnt how to use a compass to find north, south, east and west. When we ran to the different parts of the school, we found treasure surprises hidden there! We showed great teamwork and many showed good leadership as well to support each other. 

In whole class reading we’ve been reading The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig. We read the last part of the story today and the children worked together to scan the text and find key words. Good teamwork and leadership Class 2! 

We used teamwork and creativity this afternoon to paint our biblical clay creations. Here are children painting apples and trees from the garden of Eden. 
 

After the Easter holidays PE will still be on Wednesday. Please have PE kits in school and we will aim to send them home every Friday. We will hopefully be able to continue with Forest school every Monday so please ensure children have wellies and clothes that are suitable for getting dirty in…

Today we used creativity and perseverance in art today to make pinch pots and coils pots out of clay.

This afternoon we have planted some carrots and have showed such amazing teamwork!
