This morning we were subtracting numbers. We used number lines and counter to help us to subtract. We showed great resilience and perseverance this morning.

In RE we have been retelling the Easter story. Today we talked about how how Christians celebrate Easter. We discussed planting flowers, eating hot cross buns, visiting church, eating meals as a family and decorating Easter eggs.

Skittleman the Magician
Today we had a vey special treat, the Skittleman joined us via Zoom for a comedy/magic show! What a wonderful morning we've had!
Orienteering fun!
We've been orienteering this week in PE. We had a race to make funny faces using a key, then we followed a plan to create an obstacle course. We used our learning toolkit and showed great team work and leadership today.
St Mary's Horti-hub story telling
Today we used the hortihub to tell the Easter story. We talked about how the Easter story shows this half term's Christian value of forgiveness.
We're sound collectors
This week we've been learning about The Sound Collector poem by Roger McGough. We read read the poem together, performed the poem and mapped different sounds we could hear around the school. Amazing creativity Class 2!
Outdoor measuring fun!
Year 1 have been continuing to learn about measuring this week. They practised using a ruler on Monday and measured the length that they could push cars.
They are now measuring mass using balance scales. They were challenged to make the scales balance using different resources. Great…
