Orienteering fun!
We've been orienteering this week in PE. We had a race to make funny faces using a key, then we followed a plan to create an obstacle course. We used our learning toolkit and showed great team work and leadership today.

Class 4 had a fantastic afternoon today!
We were 'virtually visited' by Frazie from Frazoo, who shared some of her exotic pets with us.
We really enjoyed asking her lots of questions about them and we were particularly thrilled to see Beaker the chameleon's eating style!

Nursery have been flying like eagles with their mark making!
Nursery have been enjoying developing their mark making skills this week. They have enjoyed freely drawing and mark making, drawing shapes using the doodle dice and some nursery children have started to develop their name writing! Well done Nursery! Believe and achieve!
Learning about rhyme!

St Mary's Horti-hub story telling
Today we used the hortihub to tell the Easter story. We talked about how the Easter story shows this half term's Christian value of forgiveness.
The Hare and the Tortoise
This week we looked at the fable of The Hare and the Tortoise and thought about how we can approach being back in school after lockdown. We decided we can give our all every day, practise and be the best we can be. We can run and not grow weary, we can walk and not faint!
Greek Myths
This week, we have enjoyed creating a 13th task for Heracles (or Hercules, as he was known to the Romans) to complete. We then wrote up our completed pieces on aged paper for effect.

This week in class 4 we have had an amazing time with our writing in English. We have been studying Greek mythology and really enjoyed this topic of creating our own new mythical beast and writing a 13th labour for Heracles. We have also been having lots of fun being active in P.E and working…
Fun first week back!
On March the 8th we all came back to school and it was nice seeing our friends and teachers. This week was fantastic , we did gardening and PE. We did RE on Thursday and it was good. It was lots of fun on the field playing with our friends.
First Week Back at School
What a great first week back!!! This week at St Mary's we have really enjoyed being back at school and have had lots of fun doing more and more fantastic activities. From creative writing in English to hard work in maths - it has been a very exciting first week back.
