Planting and caring for seeds!
We have enjoyed listening to the story of Jack and a the Beanstalk, planting our own seeds and learning how to care for them. We have set up an experiment to see what happens to a seed with sun, no sun, water and no water. We are excited to find out what happens!
What is growing in class one?
We had some small, wiggly creatures arrive in class one today! We are looking forward to seeing how the caterpillars change over time and what they turn into.

Summer Term in Class 3
Easter is here! We've had an odd term but it's been packed with lots of learning, and I am so pleased with everything the class has done. From reforming friendships and getting back into the routine of school-life, to creating their own menus and exploring Black History!

Compass treasure hunt
Today we learnt how to use a compass to find north, south, east and west. When we ran to the different parts of the school, we found treasure surprises hidden there! We showed great teamwork and many showed good leadership as well to support each other.
Making 10 using a tens frame!
This afternoon we explored making 10 using natural materials on our tens frames. Reception showed excellent understanding, creativity, teamwork and problem solving skills.
Expressing our creativity in the sunshine!
We loved painting in the sunshine today! We explored stamping, painting with brushes and our fingers! We investigated mixing colours and looked at the shapes we created.
The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig
In whole class reading we’ve been reading The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig. We read the last part of the story today and the children worked together to scan the text and find key words. Good teamwork and leadership Class 2!
