How to Catch Santa
In English Class 2 have been basing their writing on the book ‘How to catch Santa’ by Jean Regan. Today we came up with ideas of how we could catch Santa on Christmas Eve and then we designed and labelled our traps.

Christmas Crafts in Class 4
In Class 4 today we enjoyed getting all Christmassy. We have being making Christingles for the service, cards and also we have used our D&T skills to make these wonderful Nativity Scenes. What a magical day it has been.
Christingle
We enjoyed making our Christingles in school today and showing the, at our Christingle service in church. Thank you to the PTA for organising all of the bags!

The Black Country Museum
Class 2 had a fantastic time at the Black Country Museum today. We went into lots of Victorian houses and a Victorian shop. We also went into the school and the 1960's mother and baby unit.

Buddy Bench
School Council have been busy over the last few weeks thinking of ways to improve school. One idea we had was to have Buddy Benches- Thank you to Jackson who has designed a brilliant poster for our benches.

Walter Tull
In History this week, we have learnt about a WWI officer called Walter Tull. We used historical sources to deduce information about his early life and to find out about his involvement in World War I.
Knitting in Class 4
In Class 4 we have been leaning to ‘cast on’ our stitches. We are becoming really confident with this skill. Maybe you could ask your child to show you how to do it?
Houses and Homes Past and Present/Then and Now
In history today we looked at houses and homes comparing the similarities and differences between Victorian homes and our homes today. The children sorted pictures into past and present and then they matched the rooms by observing which features were similar.
