Class 2’s Caterpillars
In Class 2 we have enjoyed watching our caterpillars grow. Today they are beginning to turn into a chrysalis.
Multicultural Day
We loved working with the older children on Multicultural Day. We worked hard to create our own mehndi designs in Class 1.
Multi-cultural Day (Tiki Masks)
This week we had a fantastic day learning about different countries and their cultures. In our group we found out about the ancient Hawaiian tradition of Tiki Masks. I think that you would agree they are amazing!

Thank you to Miss Wood and the PTA for buying each class some caterpillars. We are so excited to watch them transform over the next few weeks!
GreenPower Racing
This week in Class 4 we competed in the GreenPower Race Day.
We behaved impeccably, supported each other and most of all had great fun!
(plus we brought back and trophy for our amazing portfolios!
Conjunction Conundrum
In English we have been basing our work on The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. Today we were working with a partner to match two clauses with the correct conjunction.
Telling the time
Today in maths today our Year 2 are using concrete resources to help the work out the time past the hour.
Creative Collage
In art this half term we are looking at colour and collage. Yesterday we sketched a bird and today we used a variety of magazines and newspapers to choose and add colour to our pictures.
Minibeast Hunt
This week we have been learning about mini beasts. We found so many around school including slugs, beetles, worms, ants, bees, spiders and earwigs!
Spot the suffix
In English we have been looking at The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. We have been exploring the difference in the language as the story was first published in 1902. Today we worked with a partner to spot the suffixes in the text.
More fun with fractions
Today in maths Year 1 have been cutting bread and pancakes into quarters, understanding that a 1/4 is one of four equal parts.
