Writing calculations
Today Year 1 have been recalling number bonds to 10 and 20 by making and writing them. We had a competition to write as many calculations as we could but they only counted if they had numbers the correct way around and an equals sign.

Phonics games
We’re really enjoying Phonics in Class 2. We’ve been playing lots of phonics games this week, revising sounds and learning new ones.
Exploring London
We’ve been using Google Arts and Culture on our new whiteboard today to look at landmarks in and around London. We moved along the river Thames learning about the different buIldings, river and bridges we could see.
Computing
This afternoon we used a lot of resilience. We logged into Education City and played some games. Then we used Google docs to write our names and messages to each other. We used capital letters, the enter button and the space bar.
Perfect pizzas
We enjoyed making pizzas this morning using a variety of toppings. We spread the sauce, chopped the toppings and tried to decorate our pizzas with our initials. Great creativity Class 2!
Pizza pictograms
Today e collected data about our favourite pizzas and then we presented it in pictograms. We’re looking forward to making pizzas on Monday.
Next half term…
After Christmas we have some exciting topics coming up in Class 2
In English we will be learning, reading and writing based on Katie in London and writing guides based on Paddington’s Guide to London.

We had a very exciting afternoon… we received letters from Santa! Have you received one at home yet?

Today we combined English and Art. We followed instructions to make Christmas cards and then evaluated the instructions.
